Based on characters from the Kimagure Orange Road Series created by
the venerable Matsumoto Izumi.

As you can see, this is fanfiction harkening back to the old Kimagure Orange
Orange Road Series. This is the 4th book in my fanfiction series. The timeline
for this occurs after ShinKOR II novel and covers some details in Shin Kor III

Book D: The Book of Four
Chapter 4: Enter Mishima

[Back to Taku and Muroke in the limo]

Muroke: Oh no! Watch out!

(*SCREEEEEEEEEEEECCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!*)

Muroke: (peeking through his fingers covering his eyes) Eh? Where'd he go?

Taku: Who?

Muroke: That kid on the skateboard racing down the street on my left side. We
were straight on a collision course with him.

Taku: I don't see any kid. Maybe you were mistakened.

Muroke: But I could have swore...

(Meanwhile, just down the street*)

(*FLASH*)

(We see a kid on a skateboard suddently appear out of nowhere from space)

(*SKIDDDDDD*)

"Man that was close! Almost got run over! Just like Kyo-ni-chan. But lucky for
me! I'm more quick-witted than he was. Using the Power! to bail me out.

"There you are Kazuya-kun!"

"yeah! We were looking all over for you."

"Sure did. Now that we've found you, we need you to help us decide who you're
going to take out for ice cream soda on Valentine's Day.

Kazuya:
(starts to pump his skateboard, with the 2 girls chasing him)

[Valentine's Day]

Kurumi: Would you stop tapping away at the computer? Ever since you've gotten
that baka email account, it seems you've never stopped using it.

Manami: (using the Power! to type away at the keys) I'm almost finished!
What's the big hurry?

Kurumi: Today is the day when we formally submit the challenge to the judge,
Shun Kisaragi-san.

Manami: Strange that Akane would pick this day.

Kurumi: Sure is! I wonder. Does she have a thing for this Shun person?

[Back at Ryokurin Ryo]

Shun: Suka! Get ready! And stop playing that "Breath of Fire" game! It's bad
for your health y'know!

Hasukawa: Why do I have to come anyway? I feel depressed anyway. Valentine's
day. My first without Igarashi.

Shun: Will you stop pining for her and start living your life for a change?
You need to move on. We've suppose to meet up with those Kasuga ladies to
receive the next challenge.

Hasukawa: Why doesn't Shinohara do it himself?

Shun: He's too busy working on his next mechanical madness machine in his bid
to defeat them. Frankly, I think he's fighting a losing battle. And not
because I look like a girl.

Hasukawa: Then why?

Shun: 'Cause he's taking it too seriously. There's no way you can compete
effectively. And besides. It gives you a chance to hook up with one of those
pretty girls. I think that Kurumi-san seems ideal for you.

Hasukawa: Don't mock me! She was the one who sent me to the hospital!

Shun: They do say that love hurts!

Hasukawa: (*groan*) Spare me now.

(At Room 312)

Muroke: Don't look so bummed out!

Taku: Why shouldn't I?

Muroke: It was hopeless anyway. There was no way you could have learned to
drive a car in just 3 days!

Taku: But I wanted this first Valentine to be special.

Muroke: Aw, you needn't know how to drive a car to impress a girl. There's
other ways to a woman's heart.

Taku: Thanks for trying to cheer me up.

Muroke: I'm serious. Did she give you chocolates yet?

Taku: Not really. We still haven't even met yet since the expedition hike.
But I've arranged dinner at this place called "Morimoto's".

Muroke: That's romantic. Well gambette!

Taku: Thanks. I need it.

[Meanwhile, at the other apartment house]

"Irrashaimse Yumi!"

Yumi Kohama: You're back early!

Rikkako Muto: Need to prepare for tonight.

Kohama: I almost forgot! You have a big Valentine date tonight! Wait till I
tell the other girls that you're fraternizing with the enemy!

Muto: Stop being a tease. It is nothing like that. I mean this is not meant to
poke secrets out from the other side and...

Kohama: Stop it now, 'kay?! Y'know, you're tripping all over trying to explain
yourself. Just get ready. And don't forget the chocolates!

Muto: Goodness! I forgot to buy them!

Kohama: No need to worry, forgetful face! There's a backup box right on the
counter.

Muto: Super thanks Yumi! You're really saved me this time!

[In New York]

(Hikaru is having dinner with another lady companion.)

Today was a good day for celebrations. The day before, I dropped by the
Shubert theater and met up with the casting director and my other counterpart
for the alternating we will be doing for the princess role.

The princess in the play was Sofina, named for the most beautiful
flower on the island. She was island daughter of one of the regions of
Atlantis and she falls in love with the ruler Atlantis. The play revolves
around the circumstances and eventual tragedy of their love for each other
versus the interests of the populace at hand.

Curiously, despite the whole play revolving around their relationship, she
never utters a word to him. Instead, she communicates all her hopes, her
wishes, her desires through various dances, including a evocative solo dance
routine.

That was what was so intriguing about the part. Being able to express to the
audience her emotions and thoughts with no words. I was also glad that I didn't
have to utter any lines for my part, even though there was only one
line in the whole play for her. That was part of the odd arrangement I found
out about. They decided that this island daughter princess wear a mask for the
first part of the play, for all the dance routines. The other lady would
take over during the sacrificial ceremony process and she instead would be
the one to say the lines I dreaded for quite some time. That was fine with me.
Despite the effort I had spent in improving my English-speaking ability, I knew
I still had a ways to go. She had a similar build as mine, so she could easily
pass off as me and vice versa. She would also get to discard her mask near the
end and garner all the glory for the part. So it was the best of both worlds
for both of us.

Yet curiously, I find that single passage that I so dreaded engrained into my
psyche. Even if I tried, I could never get those words out of my head...

"Blessed Era, please forgive me. I have committed a sin so great that, even
if I were to bury myself for all eternity in the soil of this beautiful
country, it would not be erased...And yet I continue to commit this sin every
day. Even if it meant I would turn into the seaweed that washes onto the
shore, I could not stop loving Atlas."

To celebrate the occasion, I decided to invite Officier Clancy out. She had
been a nice, stable addition to my life and I wanted to let her know how much
I appreciate the time she took to spend with me.

We were eating at Baachus, a trendy Italian resturant where my steady Italian
acquanitance was working at. His name was Bruno and he was a stud of a man.
Along with another Japanese acquantance I knew, he and I would spend many a
night together during the times I really needed "it." The funny thing was that
we were strictly on a first name basis. I had no idea what his last name was,
nor did I bother to ask him. That is how informal our relationship was. He
called me 'Hikky' and I called him 'Big Bruno' and that was that.

We were suppose to go out dancing today on Valentine's Day, but unfortunately,
he got saddled with a last minute shift change. Valentine Day of course is a
busy day for all resturants, especially in New York. But at least he was my
personal waiter for me and Miss Clancy. But boy, did he look good in his
tight, black, butt-fitting leather pants, and lone white t-shirt which did a
terrible job in trying to conceal all the muscular parts of his body.

"How are you ladies doing? Everyone ok?"

H: Everything just super here Bruno. I just love this wine!

"Only the best for the best. And your companion is multo beautiful!"

Officier Clancy: Much obliged sir.

(Bruno whispers something into Hikaru's ear)

H: (giggles) Oh, you dirty devil! So daring!

"See you tonite."

[At the Shin ABCB]

Hasuksawa: Man, we're going to a bar? Is it safe?

Shun: Come on Suka! It'll be fun!

Hasukawa: I think it's kind of wierd to entering a strange bar we've never
been to before. It could be dangerous with punks and all.

Shun: We're never know if we don't go in.

(They both step in and are greeted by the Valentine tunes of Yukari singing on
stage with the rest of the 'Heartbreakers')

Shun: See! This isn't some sleazy bar! Seems like a nice establishment. And
there they are.

(They see Akane, Kurumi, and Manami sitting at a table)

Akane: Here they come! Look prim and proper now! This is official business.

Kurumi: Oh please!

Shun: Hello everyone! Happy Valentine's Day to you!

Akane: Same to you. Please. Sit right down.

(drags Shun down with her hand)

Shun: Oh ok...if you insist. But we're be only staying here for a short time.
We're only here to pick up the latest event schedule.

Akane: All in good time. Want to get a drink first?

Shun: Ummm ok. Bloody Mary for me.

Hasukawa: Shun!

Shun: It won't hurt to stay here a while! Besides, you need to loosen up a
bit. Why don't you sit by Kurumi-san here?

Hasukawa: No, but...

Shun: Too late!

Akane: How about you?

Hasukawa: Me? I can't really imbibe heavy drinks, so just give me sparkling
water.

Kurumi: Me and Manami will get it for you two.

Manami: We will?

Kurumi: Yes! (nudges her with her elbow) Let's go!

(up at the bar counter)

Manami: What's the matter?

Kurumi: Did you see that look in Akane's eyes?

Manami: What look?

Kurumi: That lovey-dovey look. The type of look she gets when she had that
thing for Madoka-san!

Manami: Nooo, it can't be.

Kurumi: Look for yourself!

(they see Akane nudging closer to Shun)

Manami: Uh oh! Gonna be trouble!

Kurumi: No, there's trouble coming from both sides!

"Hello ladies! Why don't you let two casanovas show you the true meaning of
love?"

"Oh yeah! Two big bad LUV machines! We're show the sting in Cupid's 'arrow'"

Manami & Kurumi: AHHH! KOMATSU AND HATTA!

[At XYZ Studios]

#1: Hey boss! Anything more you need me to do?

R: That would be all. You can have the rest of the day off.

#1: Mighty generous of you boss. I'm taking off now.

Nagasi: (enters room) What's he so happy for?

R: He is off early today.

Nagasi: Baka! That insubordinate doesn't deserve any time off at all!

R: If you say so.

Nagasi: Now Ryu-baby! Don't be cross with me! I was just venting. Let's do
something romantic tonight! After all, it's the big V day! (makes symbol V
gesture with her fingers)

R: You want to go out?

Nagasi: Of course! It's sooo boring this past month. No play or action, it's
been a real drag! You know I hate paperwork!

R: You're the only person left around here. So you must assist me in that
area.

Nagasi: You wish! You're too cheap to hire another assistant to do all your
dirty work!

R: Perhaps I shall if you find the work disagreeable to you. I'll probably
draw it from the facials and nails expenses that you have been accumulating
since that time.

Nagasi: Now Ryu, no need to be that drastic. C'mon. Let's kick back and let it
loose. I'll wear somethin' extra special tonite. Like that red lacy teddy.

R: I can see that I have no choice in the matter. Alright. Let's get this over
with.

[At Rikako Muto's apartment building]

(We see Taku Morisaki waiting outside for Rikakko Muto to come out)

Taku: (looking at his watch) I wonder where she could be? I wonder if I
should go up or not.

(*beep beep beep*)

Taku: (looks towards the streets) What the...

A white Lincoln Continental pulls up.

"Hey buddy. Get in! Someone's waitin' for you."

Taku: Excuse me. I don't know who you are...

(Windows rolls down)

"Taku-san! What are you waiting for?"

Taku; Rikako! What are you doing in there?

Muto Rikako: Wasn't this your idea?

"Hop in now! He's just playin' maam."

Taku:

[Back at the bar]

Shun: Thanks for the drink. I think we must be really going.

Akane: So soon?

Shun: I'm afraid so. So what is this new event?

Akane: Well, it's like this. We want something more artsy this time, so we
want to hold a contest on who can host the best play.

Hasukawa: Play?? Oh no, not again.

Shun: A play? That would be a definite change of things. Ok. Thanks again.

Akane: Oh. By the way. I just happen to have an extra of this.

(hands Shun a box of chocolates)

Shun: Eh?

Akane: I know it may look strange, but since it's between us, there's no real
meaning to it. Take it as a gift for doing a good job as a judge.

Hasukawa: Ok. Thanks! Bye!

(outside)

Shun: Why did you shoo me out?

Hasukawa: You're seemed so speechless by the gesture.

Shun: Uh...I was?

Hasukawa: You're still dazed! Man, that was a freaky thing she did. Or maybe
not. Maybe she has the hots for you.

Shun: Nah, couldn't be...let's go back now.

Hasukawa: You're blushing!

Shun: It's not like that. Here!

(sits a bunch of chocolate into Hasukawa's mouth!)

[Back inside the bar]

Manami: Hello Akane!? Come in Akane!

Akane; W-w-what?

Kurumi: They've left already.

Akane: Have they? That's good.

Kurumi: You don't some sort of crush on this Shun character?

Akane: Who, me?

Manami: Of course you!

Akane: Don't be silly. I was only trying to help a fellow lady in need. It
must be real tough trying to manage a bunch of bawdy, raucous, immature boys
in a boys dorm. It must be tough being the lone female in the house. The
outsider. I can empathize with her situation. That's why I gave her the gift
to cheer her up.

Kurumi: Lady? You think that Shun is a ...mmph!

Manami: Uh...we have to go now to the toilet. Excuse us.

(We see Manami cupping her hand over Kurumi's mouth and dragging her back
towards the bathroom)

Kurumi: Why'd you do that for?

Manami: She doesn't know!

Kurumi: What? I thought it was obvious that Kisaragi-san was a boy, even
though he looked like a girl.

Manami: I know, but somehow, Akane got some misguided impression. She's like
that.

Kurumi: So what's wrong if I tell her the truth to set her straight?

Manami: It would just crush her. We need to find a better way to let her know
for herself. Otherwise, it would be too embarrasing if we told her outright.

Kurumi: You're the sensible one, so you take care of it. I'm going now!

[Aoyama Hospital]

(We see Madoka quickly hurrying out)

M: (looking at her watch) Kyosuke is going to kill me! I'm going to be late
this time around.

(While walking towards her car, she is stopped by a peculiar man holding some
package and dressed up in a brown suit)

"Excuse me. I just arrived back in town and I need some directions to find
this location. Can you help me to find Aoyama 1-chyoume?

M: (momentarily freeze) What was that again?

"I was asking how to get to Aoyama 1-chyoume?"

M: It should be further up the street after Aoumi hospital.

"Obliged at your help."

M:

[About a week or so later]

[At Ryokurin Ryo]

(Shinohara walking inside the boarding house)

Shinohara: Hopeless! Utterly hopeless! No chance.

Hasukawa: What's his problem?

Shun: Oh, he's just fretting over the next competition of composing a play!

Hasukawa: Still?

Shun: Yep. I never saw him so shocked when I told him the news the first time.

Hasukawa: Too bad. He probably had it coming. Better luck next time. Back to
my "Breath of Fire" game. Who's on this shift now?

Shun: Tatsuya-kun. Say, I remember that the group troupe did a play for the
club contest many years back. Had something of a medieval feel to it as well.

Hasukawa: Yes. I remember now.

Shun: Perhaps we should show it to the whole group as a treat! It might
motivate Shinohara to try to compete rather than mope around.

Hasukawa: I don't think that would be a good idea.

Shun: What are you afraid of? So what if you come off as a sissy sidekick in
the whole thing? The important thing is that everyone had fun.

Hasukawa: However...

Shun: Too late! I'm going to arrange the whole thing.

Hasukawa: (slaps his forehead) Oh brother! Get ready for the fireworks!

[At the Ayukawa mansion]

Kyosuke: Ah Madoka! You're home early from your teaching class.

Madoka: (looking distraught) Oh hi Kyosuke.

Kyosuke: You seem to be distracted by something. Is something the matter?

Madoka: It's nothing serious.

Kyosuke: Well to me it is! You're been edgy these past few days. What's the
matter? You look like you saw a ghost. (starts to laugh)

(However, Madoka remains deathly silent)

Kyosuke: What the matter? Did I say something wrong? You didn't really see a
ghost, right?

M: I am not sure what to believe. I just feel so distraught.

K: (puts his hands on her shoulders) Now, now. I'm here. Do you want to talk
about it?

M: Can I ask you of the nightmares you had?

K: Uh sure. If it would help you.

M: Did you believe that the horrific visions you saw in your nightmares were
the spirts of those killed during that conflict?

K: Woah. That's pretty deep. Give me a moment to think about it.

M: If it's getting too personal for you, then that's fine.

K: No, no. If my experience can help you out, then I'm willing to share my
personal feelings. Yes, indeed, some of my dreams were so vivid and graphic,
populated with the voices of victims which I photographed, crying out to me in
pain and agony. It felt so real, as if indeed their spirits were visiting me
in my dreams. But later, I came to realize that it was just the inner demons
within me, my conscious that was at work. I was supressing all the rage and
anger and helplessness I felt inside me all this time that it grew and
festered itself. I wasn't willing to admit the truth to myself. Until that
incident in America. It made me realize that I should not be afraid to
confront these inner demons. Only when you let it out can you find closure and
peace. I'm not sure if that helped you out in any way or not.

M: No, it helps a lot. I thought that visiting that hospital was making me
lose my mind as well. I'm beginning to understand now.

K: That's good. Perhaps when you're ready, we can talk more about what's
really bugging you. But first, watch this!

(turns on the TV to Channel 12)

M: What is this?

K: Part of what I was saying. Aso-san is going to do the first of her reports
on the photographs.

"Hello everyone. Aso Tamaki reporting today from the Channel 12 live news
studio. For this segment, we will be diverging from our regular
programming to present a special series. Something out of the ordinary of the
customary local news. Something that we directly affected by, by nonetheless
affects the worldly events. A disturbing conflict that is occurring outside
our great country of Japan. What I speak of is the hidden war in the former
state known as Yugoslavia. Hidden until now. What I will present to you are
the photographs of the war. Of whose origins were donated generously by a
private benefactor. But now, I saw let the pictures tell their story to you.

[Back at the Tokyo police precinct]

"Matsui! How ya doin'?"

"Jackson! Long time no see! What brings you over here to homicide?"

Jackson: Just making the rounds. Busy lately?

Matsui: Rather light. Daresay it must be the romantic air kicking in. By the
way, congrats on cracking the jewelry ring case. It was a real stumper for the
department.

Jackson: Thanks, but that was ages ago. I've been kinda lax myself, with no
baffling case to plague the department. So I've been on a pet project. I was
thinkin' you could help me out with it.

Matsui: Go ahead. I'll hear you out.

Jackson: I've been working real long trying to figure out the connection
between some exotic mystery chemical compound and Colonel Kijama Zenbata.

Matsui: I thought that case was closed. Jailbreak gone wrong and that punk
got killed in the process.

Jackson: That how it looks, but I still have my doubts, despite what the test
results say. That's why I've been doin' a little side-investigatin'.

Matsui: You're seem mighty determined about it, my friend.

Jackson: Call it a hunch and an obsessesion. I believe the Colonel is still
hiding out in the streets. And I believe that he is somehow connected to those
previously unsolved Chameleon crimes.

Matsui: There's not much I can do, but I'll put out the feelers for you. If I
run across something strange that can be connected, then I'll let you know.

Jackson: Hey wait!

Matsui: What is it?

Jackson: That program.

Matsui: You mean the TV? I watch it during my lunch break.

Jackson: Which channel is this?

Matsui: Channel 12. They always have news this time. But I watch it for the
segment where people call in with all their ills and this doctor prescribes
all sorts of herbal medical cures. Did help with the corns on my feet.

Jackson: No, that's not it. That report that's showing. Look at that picture
that's on. Do you see it?

Matsui: I'm looking at the same picture as you are, but I don't see what's so
special.

Jackson: It's the break I've been looking for. That's Zenbata's profile!

[Back to Ryokurin Ryo]

Shun: Ok everybody! Gather 'round! That includes you Shinohara-san!

Shinohara: Whatever.

Tatsuya; Hi Taku-san.

Taku: Oh hi.

Tatsuya: Where's Koji-san?

Taku: Not sure where's he at.

Shun: You too Suka! Come here. You're one of the stars!

Hasukawa: I want to hide out instead!

Shun: No way! Now presenting....

		"THIS IS D-E-V-I-L-W-O-O-D"

[Back at XYZ Studios]

R: Where's Hayakawa now?

Nagasi: He's out smoozing with some hot talent to compete with rival TK.

R: Tell him we have a meeting tomorrow. Also, what about the plans? Are you
done with the evaluation?

Nagasi: Nope. So here. You take a look at it. All of this is so tiring. I
think it's time for my facial break. Bye!

R: Humph! (takes off his sunglasses for a moment to wipe his eyes before
putting it back on; then starts to wade through the files that were dumped on
his table) Project Aoyama-1, Project Bekkomame, Project O-Road...I think I'll
watch one of those videos first.

[At the park]

(Muroke is walking around looking for someone)

"Psst!"

(Muroke looks over to the park bench and sees what seems to be an old man)

Muroke: Are you talking to me?

"Yo, it's me."

Muroke: #1! So that's the disguise you've been sporting now.

#1: Don't mention it.

Muroke: But why the elaborate setup?

#1: No reason. Just want to test out my disguises.

Muroke: Ok then. I find it better never to ask you anyway.

#1: So what have you got for me? You said you got something juicy for me.

Muroke: Sure do.

#1: Well then, spill it. I've already did my good deed.

Muroke: Yeah, thanks for using the company car to drive Taku and Rikako.

#1: Sure, sure. Now tell me already!

Muroke: Ok, it's like this. Remember the time we were tracking that wacko
military nutball all the way to that embassy? Well I think I've found his new
whereabouts.

#1: You sure? You're not pulling my leg?

Muroke: Of course not! And here's the kicker. I think Shijama is involved as
well although not voluntarily.

#1: You're being vague here. Give me full details.

Muroke: Well, it all started like this. One day I decided to trail him after
he'd been skipping out on this RPG club we were attending and...

[Back to Ryokurin Ryo]

(end of the showing of the movie)

(Everyone is clapping; random shouts)

"Hail Tino!" "Way to go Lemon Herb!" "You go Princess!"

Shun: (walks over to Hasukawa) What's wrong? You look like you're about to
cry.

Hasukawa: (shielding his eyes a bit) No,...it's just that...it reminded me of
all the happy times the old greenwood gang had together...and now to see it
like this...like a fading memory.

Shun: Ahh, you're being sentimental.

Hasukawa: But the saddest part was seeing Shinobu's face again. He and Mitsuru
both epitomize the spirit of this house. The togetherness and commarderie. And
now all of this is gone.

Shun: You shouldn't say that. You and I are still here. And so are these
folks. We should help them to become the new generation of the Greenwood clan.

Hasukawa: I suppose you're right. But boy do I miss Cool Mint.

(Shinohara walks over towards them)

Shinohara: It was a decent parody of the ROLW genere. Especially the Master of
Time bit. Good job.

(shakes Hasukawa's hand, who looks back in surprise)

Shinohara: Too bad it's not use to me. Time to accept defeat.

(walks back to his room)

Taku: I have never seen him that down-trodden before.

Shun: That's because he knows that if he loses the next event, then the rest
of the events won't matter and he would have to accept defeat. Which means
transferring out and possibly moving away from here.

Hasukawa: That's too bad.

Tatsuya: I have an idea. Why don't we pitch in together and help him with this
play contest?

Shun: That's a great idea! It would be a cool group activity for the whole
house to get together. What do you think Suka?

Hasukawa: Strangely enough, I'm game for that. But who will write it?

Tatsuya: I can find some time to devote to it.

"We're all help!"

Shun: Looks like everyone's in!

[At Shimazaki mansion]

Goro Shimazaki: So we finally meet, MISHIMA-san. I trust that Tokyo is just as
pleasant as it is in Honolulu?

"I can live in it."

Goro: Good to hear that. Care for a drink?

"No need. Why have you requested me here?"

Goro: My people and your organization have been working together for a long
time. It is only hospitable when one of the top brass arrives here on special
business.

"That is already understoood. I don't need to be here to know the obvious."

Goro: But of course. But I find it proper if I establish and maintain good
relations with the Yamazumi construction company and trust.

"You are aren't the type to put on airs. Kindly state your business or else
I'm leaving."

Goro: You are a clever one. They must train you very well. Ok. No more games.
(clanking of his two metal balls in his palm) My real reason was to present to
you a proposal.

"I'm listening."

Goro: You're one of the top men at the company and I wish to employ some of
your "special" skills. There's a person I need you to take care of for me.

[Back at NYC]

Hikaru arrives back, tossing her bicycle helmet off to one side and just
flopping into her futon.

H: Whew! I am SOOO tired.

(*flashback recapping her day*)

"Double H! One more package to deliver before you go."

H: Do I have to? I have to go to my production.

"Money talks. Gotta meet the bills and deadlines."

H: Alright. Just this once.

"You're a lifesaver hon. Be careful with this one. It's for the Guggenheim."

H: I'm going now!

"Until tomorrow then."

(And at the production play)

(After the third try at a particular sequence of the dance)

Director: That was a good try. But for the twirl sequence, why don't you raise
your arms more? Like this? Imagery. You want to convey to the audience that
you're pretending to hug Atlas when he not really there. But it is a dream
sequence so need to be flighty. Now roll that by again.

Hikaru: HAI!

(*back to her apt*)

H: Boy. This is hard work. I'll have to juggle my priorities better and save
my energy. But first, what's on.

(switches on TV to see the television sitcom "Friends" on)

H: (smiles) Boy, I wish I could have my friends here as roommates with me here
in SOHO. Or perhaps I can visit them instead...

[Back at Tokyo University]

Manami in front of a computer terminal.

Kurumi: You're back at it already?

Manami: Gotta finish up the script. We have less than a week to complete the
whole thing. Where's Akane?

Kurumi: She's scrounging up her connections at the Drama club to get us props
and costumes. Even the whole baseball team wants to help out. Now when can I
get a look at what you've wrote.

Manami: No, no, no. No peeking. I don't want to spoil it for you.

Kurumi: But that's no fair! I'm your twin sister.

Manami: If you put it that way, I might as well let you look at the title:
